U.S. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) will address our conference on the opening day, June 13, 2004. Rep Woolsey will speak about the "Smart Security Platform (Resolution #392) for the 21st Century" that she has introduced in Congress.

U.S. Congressman Sam Farr (D-CA) from Monterey will also be speaking. He and Congresswoman Woolsey both were early sponsors of Dennis Kucinich's Department of Peace Bill.

At the "The Alchemy of Democracy� conference we will focus on the politics of Hope, Vision, Transformation and Civic Empowerment. As the 2004 election looms before us, Praxis Peace Institute will be an active force in promoting a vital Democracy through informed and transformed citizenship.
